Workshops in Biology, Chemistry, English B, Physics and Theory of Knowledge

For New IBDP Teachers

The Teacher Training Academy - Türkiye in collaboration with InThinking Educational Consultancy Service are pleased to invite new and prospective IBDP teachers to the Istanbul workshops in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English B and Theory of Knowledge. The workshops will take place in Istanbul from Friday 14th March to Sunday 16th March 2008. They are designed for teachers who are new to the IB diploma and they seek to complement the existing range of IB workshops.

The Teacher Training Academy -Türkiye. are responsible for the organization of the workshops and InThinking are responsible for the content of the workshops.

Workshop Leaders

The workshops will be run by five highly experienced IB workshop leaders:
•              Biology: John McMurtry
•              Chemistry: Geoff Neuss
•              English B: David Ripley
•              Physics: Chris Hamper
•              Theory of Knowledge: Richard van de Lagemaat

Workshop Programme

The intensive two and a half day programmes  - which run from  0830 on Friday to 1200 on Sunday and  consist of ten ninety minute sessions - will cover everything you need to know as a new IB diploma teacher.  Participants are asked to bring a copy of the relevant subject guide with them.

Practical Information

The workshop will take place at the Marmara Schools, Istanbul.  The registration fee is 500 euros.

The Teacher Training Academy – Türkiye is a new organization initiated by experienced educators in Turkey in order to provide high quality teacher training opportunities and consultancy to schools.

Since 2004 InThinking has organised 44 workshops for IBDP teachers & administrators which have been attended by more than 700 participants from more than 200 schools in 43 countries.
